Frequently Asked Questions

What meetings are required?

All Captains participate in a CEO meeting once per month, along with a separate meeting with their mentor advisor. These meetings help keep projects on track and give Captains direct access to leadership guidance.

Can Captains build their own team?

Yes. Captains can create internal teams of students to help them with tasks. This is a great opportunity to develop delegation, communication, and project management skills.

How do teams communicate?

Communication for internal teams takes place on Discord. Because of this, there is a minimum age requirement of 13 years old to participate in the Leadership program.

How does my child get a leadership role?

The first step is to tell Teacher Michael that you're interested. Leaders are selected by the Hackingtons teacher council, and positions rotate to give everyone a chance.

Is there a cost?

No. Leadership positions are volunteer roles with no additional tuition costs. Students must be active Hackingtons Pro members.

Interested in a leadership role?

Schedule a meeting with Michael to discuss if a Captain position is the right fit for your child.
