What is Scratch?

Scratch is a beginner-friendly, drag-and-drop coding platform created by MIT University. Instead of typing lines of code, kids snap together colorful blocks to control characters, sounds, and actions. They can make interactive games, animations, and stories while learning the logic of real programming.

  • Visual, block-based coding
  • Create games, animations, and stories
  • Safe online community to share projects
  • Designed for beginners — no typing needed
